A closer look at actress and last black unicorn Tiffany Haddish from the new movie "Girls Trip&

"Girls Trip" 2017. When four lifelong friends travel to New Orleans for the annual Essence Festival, sisterhoods are rekindled, wild sides are rediscovered, and there's enough dancing, drinking, brawling, and romancing to make the Big Easy blush.
With popcorn and a diet soda in hand Ramon and I finally go to watch this newest Queen Latifah comedy the other night. I really wanted to watch this movie because one of my favorite celebrities and comedians "Tiffany Haddish" had a starring role.

I had the privilege of working backstage with the self proclaimed "last black unicorn" Tiffany Haddish in 2016 when she was a guest speaker for an LA event called "An Evening to Foster Dreams" by CASA. An LA based organization. CASA’s vision is that in which every child in the child welfare system has an advocate and the opportunity to thrive.

Upon entering the green room Tiffany had a smile and a presence about here that just lit up the room as she said "Hello everyone the last black unicorn is here". Prancing around the room, laughing and shooting of joke after joke like a beautiful colorful whimsical unicorn she surely lived up to her self proclaimed title of the last black unicorn. I could tell right from the start that she was a very humble celebrity that wants to use her limelight to make a change in the world by reminding everyone to laugh and smile.
After having a chat with Tiffany I found out that this charity and organization was dear to her heart. As she herself was a foster child. She talked to me about growing up on the South side of Los Angeles with big dreams of being an actress and comedian.
I shared with her my story of growing up poor in West Virginia and having dreams of being a makeup artist in Hollywood. We instantly connected and agreed that when you endure hardships in your life that they shape and mold the person you are meant to be. Thru every difficulty in life we have choices. It's always best to choose to take those difficulties and use them as a positive catalyst to help boost and push your towards your dreams instead of dwelling in them.
Tiffany is a true Hollywood success story and a rising star in Hollywood.
It's so amazing to know that she is one of them that is using her light and stardom to keep people laughing and smiling thru the ups and downs of life.
Tiffanys light is shining bright and I cannot wait to see what she brings to the silver screen next.
